See how to decorate your fireplace for autumn with this early fall mantel decor.
The other day I was at Target browsing the new Hearth and Hand collection at Target and a spark was lit inside me. Does that ever happen to you? A whole project unfolding in your mind based off one item?! I love it when that happens!
These books were those items for me. It’s what got me inspired to create this early fall mantel decor.
Early Fall Mantel Decor using velvet pumpkins
There are no real pumpkins out yet where we live. Maybe in the next week or two! So until then, my velvet pumpkins will suffice.
I do love the rich colors they add to my decor. I have them spread out on my table and plopped on shelves here and there around my house.
Each fall I love getting them out and enjoying the pop of fall color they add to my decor. You can see how I decorated my mantel filled with them in my Fall Home Tour from last year. They are the perfect way to add some color to this early fall mantel decor.
I love to use books to add height to my vignettes. I usually use old paperback novels and tear the covers off to create a simple neutral element. But these books by Hearth and Hand in their rich jewel tones are a new favorite!
I also love these dark amber bottles. Talk about setting the mood! They give the perfect vintage tone to this early fall mantel decor.
Creating a cozy vibe with Candles and twinkly lights
One of my favorite things about fall is creating a cozy home. My favorite way to achieve that is through lighting. Specifically candles and twinkly lights. I love these battery operated lights with a built-in timer. They will go on each day at the same time and go off after 5 hours!
I used the twinkly lights on my mantel strung throughout the vignette and hid the battery pack inside one of the glass bottles.
I also love to create that cozy vibe with candles. This Pumpkin Chai candle smells just delicious! And the beautiful vessel fits right in with my early fall mantel decor.
I just love decorating for fall. There’s something so cozy and inviting about this season. And bringing touches of fall to the inside of our homes make it a welcome sanctuary from our busy lives. I hope I have inspired you in some way.
