Neutral Fall Porch Inspiration
Last year I decorated my porch with darker pops of color. My front door was a charcoal color and I used lots of oranges and greens. Click here to see my Glam Farmhouse Fall Tour from last year.
Fast forward to this year and I have a new front door color. Believe me when I tell you that when I chose the color for my front door (which is Clark & Kensington Mountainside Vista) I knew how I would decorate my front porch for all the holidays.
See, I LOVE to decorate my front porch. My neighbors all think I’m crazy, but what better way to infuse some personality into your home than on your front porch!
For fall I had visions of pastel and neutral pumpkins that would play off the pale blue of my front door and pick up on the copper accents. I like to use as many natural elements in my fall decor as possible. Lots of pumpkins, cornstalks, hay bales and mums were all that I needed to create this fun and festive fall front porch!
Neutral Fall Porch with Pumpkins and Cornstalks at Night
One of my favorite times of day is the twilight hour. Everything looks more magical is the light of the setting sun, right? We have these string lights hung all year round. And I think these lights enhance that twilight hour glow!.
When we sit out on our front porch, I like to bring candles out to create a cozy fall vibe too. See, lighting is everything when it comes to setting the mood!
Everything that I used to decorate our neutral fall porch was picked up in two trips. One to our local nursery for the pumpkins, mums and cornstalks. And the second trip was to Target for some new pillows for our favorite hanging chairs from Serena and Lily.
What I love most about decorating for the seasons is keeping things fairly simple. I just added to our existing decor. By adding in some new fall pillows, our Hello Fall sign and fresh pumpkins and mums, you can put together a new look for your front porch in under an hour.
One of the favorite parts of our front porch is having two areas that we can hang out in. And I love to update each for the season.
Seasonal flowers, fresh pumpkins and my favorite candles were all that I needed to make the spaces feel perfect for fall. And there are always extra blankets on hand to make the areas seem cozy and inviting as well.
